{"id":222,"date":"2011-09-29T10:27:00","date_gmt":"2011-09-29T14:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/blog\/award-winning-design-envisioning-francisvilles-future\/"},"modified":"2023-01-12T10:57:04","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T15:57:04","slug":"award-winning-design-envisioning-francisvilles-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/blog\/award-winning-design-envisioning-francisvilles-future\/","title":{"rendered":"Award-Winning Design: Envisioning Francisville&rsquo;s Future"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"center caption\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/static\/asla_francisville.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Image: Matthew Nelson<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Last week we lauded the German engineering that went into the <a href=\"http:\/\/phillywatersheds.org\/german-engineering-tempelhof-wasserpark\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tempelhof Wasserpark<\/a> student design project for the Berlin Airport, but we neglected to mention another award-winning planning project that&#8217;s closer to home: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asla.org\/2011studentawards\/516.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Envisioning Francisville&rsquo;s Future<\/a> was also recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects, and the team that developed the project includes John Sloan, who interned at the Philadelphia Water Department this summer.
