Are you a runner\/hiker who cares about the health of our urban parks and waterways?<\/p>\n

Sign up now for the Healthy Trails 5K<\/a>, a Philadelphia Water-sponsored event that\u2019s helping to raise funds for the TTF Watershed Partnership<\/a>, one of our key community partners.
\nNow in its 4th year, the Healthy Trails 5K<\/a> explores a paved course wandering through the woods along the Tookany\/Tacony-Frankford Creek<\/a> in Northeast Philadelphia. Participants will start at Friends Hospital<\/a>, cross the historic Fishers Lane Bridge, and connect with the Tacony Creek Park trail<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The race will take place Sunday, April 17 from 8-10 a.m.
\nAs a bonus, the first 50 Healthy Trails 5K<\/a> supporters who give $50 will get coveted bibs for this year\u2019s Broad Street Run<\/a>. (At the time this blog was published, about 20 BSR bibs were still unclaimed.)<\/p>\n

Pricing is also available for teams, and runners under 12\/walkers can take part for free. Click here to learn more and register<\/a>. Online signups close Friday at noon, but walk-ups are welcome on race day.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the race will support programs and stewardship in Tacony Creek Park through the efforts of the Tookany\/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership (TTF). TTF\u2019s mission is to improve the health and vitality of the Tookany\/Tacony-Frankford Creek and watershed by engaging our communities in education, stewardship, restoration and advocacy.
