(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.phillywatersheds.org\/5Down\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See great photos of the event here<\/a>.) The celebration included speeches from our commissioner, <strong>Debra McCarty,<\/strong> and representatives from the <strong>Environmental Protection Agency<\/strong> and P<strong>a. Dept. of Environmental Protection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.phila.gov\/mdo\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">City of Philadelphia Managing Director<\/a> <strong>Michael DiBerardinis<\/strong>\u2014one of Philadelphia\u2019s most dedicated advocates for improved recreation and green spaces\u2014praised the program as a &#8220;model for America.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We also debuted a sort of \u201cgreatest hits\u201d video that highlights the ways <em>Green City, Clean Waters <\/em>has enriched so many different aspects of life in Philadelphia while making our rivers and creeks cleaner than they\u2019ve been in centuries.
