The Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) employs temporary student employees in a variety of capacities. These student employees are sourced either in partnership with colleges and universities or through direct recruitment with the students themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Student employees provide valuable support to our permanent civil service workforce. In exchange, PWD seeks to provide these students with a valuable internship experience \u2013 one that provides meaningful work in line with their course of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Internship periods can last from 1 month up to 1 year for undergraduate and high school students, and up to 2 years for graduate students. We have both part-time and full-time opportunities and supervisors are willing to work around students\u2019 class schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
