Most development projects involve new connections to a PWD water main or sewer. Several PWD Units will assist in the review and approval of proposed connections to PWD infrastructure and provide your project with the necessary signoffs for other permits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water & Sewer Permits<\/a><\/h3>

Water and Sewer Connection Permits are required to install or repair water services and sewer laterals, respectively, from PWD infrastructure to the property. A Meter Installation Permit is required to install or replace a water meter.<\/p>\n

Hydrant Permits<\/a><\/h3>

Sewer Facilities Planning<\/a><\/h3>

The Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act (Act 537, as amended) requires us to confirm PWD\u2019s existing sewer network has the capacity to handle the sewage flow from proposed developments.<\/p>\n
