There may be other circumstances where a submission to Utility Plan Review is recommended to resolve a conflict or concern related to PWD infrastructure. For those cases, PWD will provide clear instructions to the applicant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns mt_5 mb1 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column col-12 col-md-8 is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading mt0\">Submitting Utility Plans for Review<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mb0\">To initiate the Utility Plan Review, submit using the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pwdplanreview.org\/apply\/login\/portal_signup\" target=\"_blank\">Project Dashboard<\/a>. The submitted Utility Plan must meet the criteria identified in the following guidance materials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/pwd-utility-plan-review-checklist.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Utility Plan Checklist<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/pwd-meter-installation-standards-2021.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PWD Water Meter Installation Standard<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/pwd-water-service-line-sizing-model.xlsx\">PWD Water Service Line Sizing Model<\/a><br>For the Model, <span class=\"ib\"><span class=\"semibold\">Tab 1 &#8211; Demand Worksheet<\/span>,<\/span> <span class=\"ib semibold\">Tab 2 &#8211; Meter Size Worksheet<\/span> (verifies that the proposed meter size accurately measures peak flows according to PWD Regulations), and <span class=\"ib semibold\">Tab 3 &#8211; Pressure Worksheet<\/span> (verifies that the pressure available at the furthest fixture meets the minimum pressure required according to the Philadelphia Plumbing Code) <strong>must be completed in their entirety<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Applicant is instructed to use the most recent version of the above guidance materials when submitting for review.<\/strong> <span class=\"ib\">Any updates to these materials will be posted online.<\/span> <em class=\"ib\">Guidance materials were last updated on 2\/2\/22.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"col-min col-md-4\">For additional assistance in creating a Utility Plan, please refer to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/sample-utility-plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Sample Utility Plan<\/a>. Each item in the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/pwd-utility-plan-review-checklist.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Utility Plan Checklist<\/a> corresponds to a highlighted numeric callout on the Sample Utility Plan, which provides the applicant with a visual example of the required checklist element.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/upr-commonly-missing-checklist-elements.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UPR Commonly Missing Checklist Elements<\/a> to ensure your plan is ready for review prior to submission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Private Infrastructure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants proposing private water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure within a Planned Community (PC) or Condominium must comply with the Philadelphia Plumbing Code.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phila.gov\/departments\/department-of-licenses-and-inspections\/resources\/applicable-codes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The City of Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections<\/a> is responsible for the enforcement of the Plumbing Code and should be contacted with any questions related to the code requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All private infrastructure must be clearly shown and labeled on the Utility Plan for Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) review.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center col-12 col-md-4 md-order-1 pt0 is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-ls-divwrap  has-white-background-color is-style-small-solid wp-block-ls-widget is-style-alternate\">\n<p class=\"has-md-font-size\">As of 9\/1\/2023, all Utility Plan Approvals are valid for three (3) years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This extension will apply retroactively to all projects.
