Stormwater retrofit projects provide an opportunity to add new landscaping, fix drainage problems, and improve the appearance of a property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns fa-stretch is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column col-12 col-md-8 is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>After a project is complete, the property owner qualifies for lower <a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/stormwater\/billing\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2125\">stormwater charges<\/a> on their monthly bill through the <a href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/stormwater\/incentives\/credits\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"2130\">Stormwater Credits Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These stormwater retrofit projects are a cost-effective way for the Philadelphia Water Department (PWD) to reduce stormwater pollution in Philadelphia\u2019s creeks and rivers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PWD partners with the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) to award millions in stormwater grants every year. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/water.phila.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/stormwater-grants-application-guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Stormwater Grants Application Guide<\/a> is a critical resource for learning more about how to apply for a Stormwater Grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sm-font-size\">Stormwater Grants and resulting stormwater credits lower a property owner\u2019s monthly stormwater bill.
