Water Will Not Be Shutoff While Heat Health Emergency In Effect
Residential water shutoffs for delinquency were scheduled to resume on July 20, 2022. However, in following with the City of Philadelphia’s public health policies regarding heat emergencies, these water shutoffs will be delayed in anticipation of a Heat Health Emergency being in effect starting Thursday, July 21.
Shutoffs will resume after the emergency declaration is lifted.
Any customer who received a shutoff notice should pay their bill now if possible, or call (215) 685-6300 to request an assistance application or payment agreement to avoid losing water.
Applications are also available online here. One form allows customers to apply for all of the City’s water bill assistance programs.
