Media Alert: Families, Anglers at Schuylkill Banks for Philly Fun Fishing Fest
From 7 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at Schuylkill Banks between Chestnut and Walnut Streets.
WHAT: Families and anglers of all ages and experience levels will compete in a friendly morning of free catch-and-release fishing at the scenic Schuylkill Banks park and riverwalk in Center City this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Fishing gear is being provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prizes will be awarded in various categories starting at 11:30 a.m. Event is ADA accessible.
WHEN: Saturday September 10 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., prizes announced at 11:30 a.m. (Rain date is September 17, 2022)
WHERE: Schuylkill Banks (view map) between Chestnut and Walnut Streets
WHO: Over 250 participants are registered for this year’s event. Partners include: Philadelphia Water Department, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, Pa. Fish and Boat Commission, Schuylkill Banks, United By Blue, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Flambeau Outdoors.
