As joggers and cyclists navigated along the Schuylkill River Trail last Saturday, some residents also participated in something pretty unexpected for Center City: fishing!

On Saturday, September 7, anglers of all ages met between Locust and Chestnut to compete in the 8th annual Philly Fun Fishing Fest. Our partners at Parks and Recreation, the Schuylkill River Development Corporation, and the Pa. Fish and Boat Commission collaborated to create a great event for 89 participants who caught (and safely released!) over a hundred fish!
