Explain what you do at PWD. What are some of your daily responsibilities?
I assist PWD customers with meter questions and schedule meter service appointments.
What is something that you really like about your job?
I like knowing that I was able to assist people in my community.
What would you tell a younger version of yourself who wanted to work at PWD, but wasn’t sure about working for the department?
PWD has a lot of great people.
Being bilingual, how has having those language skills helped you at work?
Being bilingual has enabled me to assist more customers.
How has your cultural background helped to shape you into the person you are today?
My cultural background has played an important role in shaping the person I am today. It has influenced my values, beliefs, traditions, and the way I interact with the people around me. Growing up surrounded by my culture has taught me the importance of family, respect, hard work, and staying connected to my roots.
My cultural experiences have also helped me understand that people can have different perspectives, traditions, and ways of life. This has made me more open-minded and respectful toward others. At the same time, my background has given me a strong sense of identity and taught me to appreciate where I come from.
