Philly Water Bar has been a thirst-quenching, myth-busting success. Just by bringing our tap water into a fun, colorful space we’ve been drawing big crowds of thirsty, curious Philly residents all summer long.

Since launching at City Hall at the end of April, Philly Water Bar has been a place where fact-based conversations can bubble up and tap water skeptics get to give our water another taste while chatting with experts.

Already a tap water advocate?

Take a selfie with your glass or reusable bottle and show your Philly friends why with the #DrinkTapPHL tag on Instagram and Twitter.

Rather than just providing free water, we’ve been helping those folks discover that they have an extremely sustainable, healthy and affordable drink on tap right in their homes.

We’ve already tipped tap with thousands of residents: hundreds of people ask us questions every week at the City Hall watering hole (open Thursdays from 12p-1p) and we’ve also done neighborhood events like a food festival and community mural painting day.

Philly Water Bar - May 2019

Philly Water Bar-tenders will be pouring fresh Philly tap at the Broad and Cecil B. Moore Rest Station on the Philly Free Streets route and at City Hall on Thursdays through August 15.

The Drink Philly Tap Ambassadors have also been out in their communities with Philly Water Bar, keeping neighbors hydrated and informed.

On the fence about the benefits of drinking tap?

If the fact that it’s just as safe as plastic bottle water (if not safer!) but a better deal by hundreds of times (more than 1,700 X cheaper, actually) compared to the stuff that comes in petroleum-based bottles ($1+ per 12 oz.) hasn’t convinced you, you still have a few chances this summer to stop at Philly Water Bar and drink in some truth.

For any other special Philly Water Bar events or weather cancelations, follow @PhillyH2O on social media.

In 2020, regular Water Bar events will be back once the warm weather returns. We are also looking for more ways to spread the word about how great it is to have incredible, delicious, non-littering, and super-affordable tap in Philly!
