18 Years at PWD
Explain what you do at PWD? What are some of your daily responsibilities?
I manage the clerical staff and the administrative duties of the Meter Shop. I also oversee the administrative techs as well as the payroll clerk.
What is something you really like about your job?
I love the people I work with. We are a family that rely on each other both professionally and personally. What I like most is being of help to our customers.
What would you tell a younger version of yourself who wanted to work at PWD, but wasn’t sure about working at the department?
Do it, you will never go wrong by working for PWD. You will learn a lot not just about water, but also about different PWD teams and how they all connect.
Being bilingual, how has having those language skills helped you at work?
Absolutely, I have been able to not only help out customers, but my peers as well.
How has your cultural background helped to shape you into the person you are today?
I believe it has helped me embrace diversity. It has helped me become open to trying different foods, and wanting to share my culture as well as wanting to learn from others.
