Treating wastewater is our commitment to the health and vitality of the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers, countless creeks and streams, and the people of our region who enjoy and depend on these waterways.
Take a 30-minute tour to get an up close and personal look into the way the Philadelphia Water Department treats wastewater and then releases it back into the river. Come see what we’re all about!
In order to take a tour, please register for one of the tour times below, and be sure to bring:
- State issued ID or driver’s license
- Liability wavier*
- Comfortable clothing – jeans and sneakers are recommended
Arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time to allow time for check-in at the security gate and for event registration.
