Belmont Raw Water Pump Station Upgrades

Overview

Belmont Raw Water Pump Station Upgrades is a pump station project. Pump stations house pumps, pipes, valves, and electrical equipment. This equipment moves water through our system. This equipment also helps provide reliable water supply to our treatment plants.

This pump station brings water from the Schuylkill River to the Belmont Water Treatment Plant. We are still finalizing the scope of this work. Key goals include:

• Expanding pump capacity to align with the Belmont WTP Expansion.
• Reducing flood risks to ensure a reliable water supply.
• Addressing aging infrastructure concerns.
• Meeting water source redundancy objectives.

These upgrades will improve reliability of supply to our Belmont Water Treatment Plant. New equipment will reduce the need for maintenance.
