Overview

Project #41237 E Venango St / I St / Kingston St / E Atlantic St is a Water Department capital project that will implement green stormwater management infrastructure tools in the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia. It will also install new water mains throughout the neighborhood.

This is part of the overall Green Infrastructure Initiative implemented by City of Philadelphia called Green City, Clean Waters.

PWD is installing new water pipes that carry water to homes and businesses, to increase service reliability and reduce the chance of breakages. Learn more about Philadelphia's drinking water system →

Drinking water projects help us continue to treat, store, and deliver drinking water. On average, we produce more than 300 million gallons of water a day for Philadelphians. Our drinking water work helps ensure residents and businesses have reliable access to clean, safe drinking water.
