Canton / Wright Water and Sewer Improvements

Overview

Project #41234 Canton / Wright is a planned PWD project in the Manayunk neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia. It will build new water mains and sewers.

• During water main work, roads will be temporarily restored at the end of the workday, with reopened resident access and parking after construction hours.
• During sewer work, due to the depth and nature of the sewer excavation, trenches may need to remain open and secured overnight, with the street fully closed overnight. PWD will make every reasonable effort to reopen portions of the street for resident access and parking, but parking may be limited during active sewer construction.
• During construction, an assigned PWD inspector and engineer will be on-site and can answer questions about the work.
