Updates

Construction pause: COVID-19

Good afternoon,

My name is Amy Hopf, construction outreach specialist for the Philadelphia Water Department. I hope you and your community are safe & healthy.

I wanted to inform you that the green stormwater infrastructure project #50212 in the Fairmount neighborhood is on hold until further notice. Due to the directive from Governor Wolf on Thursday, March 19, 2020 ordering the stoppage of all non-emergency construction jobs, PWD will be stopping all active construction work.

Contractors have been instructed to make work sites safe until construction can resume. If you think an inactive construction site is unsafe, please call 215-685-6300. At this time, there is no date for when work will resume.

For the latest COVID-19 updates related to PWD, visit https://water.phila.gov/covid-19/#3-20-construction.

Please be assured that we will be in contact with you once we receive any updates on the timeline for these projects. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
