Why are we doing this project?

PWD is installing new water pipes that carry water to homes and businesses, to increase service reliability and reduce the chance of breakages. Learn more about Philadelphia's drinking water system →

Drinking water projects help us continue to treat, store, and deliver drinking water. On average, we produce more than 300 million gallons of water a day for Philadelphians. Our drinking water work helps ensure residents and businesses have reliable access to clean, safe drinking water.

Green City, Clean Waters is a program that largely relies on green tools to soak up stormwater. Combined with other sewer infrastructure improvements, projects like this allow Philadelphia to meet regulations and invest in neighborhoods. Learn more about Green City, Clean Waters→
