Fox Chase Pump Station Upgrades
Current Phase: Design
Overview
This project upgrades the Fox Chase Pump Station to improve water pressure and long-term reliability. Pump stations help move drinking water through the system and maintain stable water pressure for customers. Essential equipment, including pumps, pipes, and electrical systems keep water flowing across the city.
The Fox Chase Pump Station was originally built in the 1950’s. The City needed the pump station to improve water pressure for the growing population. Since the 1950’s, the pump station has undergone some upgrades to maintain and replace equipment. Yet, the aging equipment is reaching the end of its useful life. This project will modernize the pump station with upgraded systems and new equipment.
We’re upgrading the Fox Chase Pump Station through two (2) projects:
Project #64085
– Installing new pumps
– Replacing and improving pump station piping
– Rehabilitating the pump station’s building
Project #41235
– Improving the transmission piping.
