2024-25 Stormwater Grants Awardees Announced

The Philadelphia Water Department recently announced its 2024-2025 Stormwater Grants awardees. A variety of Philadelphia institutions will receive funding for new green stormwater infrastructure retrofits, including six schools, an historic church, and a flamingo habitat. Stormwater Grants: Fall Application Dates

The fall 2025 grants submission deadline is 11:59 PM, October 17th. Pre-application meetings are required prior to submitting an application. Applicants can request to schedule a pre-application meeting beginning August 1, 2025 through September 19, 2025. All pre-application meetings must be conducted before October 1, 2025.

Stormwater Grants Webinar (August 21, 2:00-3:00 PM) – In this online session, attendees will receive a comprehensive overview of PWD’s annual competitive grant program from Development Services representatives. Non-residential property owners, project managers, and developers curious about lowering their parcel’s monthly stormwater charge are encouraged to attend. Click here to register for the webinar.

Stormwater Grants Open House (September 25, 3:00-6:00 PM) – Are you a non-residential property owner, developer, or designer determined to lower your parcel’s stormwater charge? If yes, then you should attend PWD’s special Open House focusing on the Development Services’ Stormwater Grants incentive program. During this in-person event at The WaterShed, prospective grant applicants will hear from Development Services representatives, along with stormwater management contractors and past grant awardees. Introducing the “Plan Review Portal”

Development Services recently debuted changes to the landing page of its Plan Review website for real estate project submissions. The site’s front door—rebranded the “Plan Review Portal”—has been visually streamlined to enhance the user experience. With this redesign, users will enjoy improved access to the platform’s most-used tools for plan reviews, including the project dashboard, Reg Finder, and Guidance Manual. And the Plan Review Portal promotes closer integration with PWD’s official site through its header navigation bar.

Additional upgrades to the site’s dashboard section are planned for later this year, including a new dedicated application path for stormwater retrofit projects.
