Drainage Wells

A drainage well is a manhole structure that allows stormwater runoff to flow in through holes on its cover or funnel in from other sources. The system discharges the water into surrounding soil.

A stormwater drainage well is a manhole structure designed to receive stormwater from upstream collection, and pretreatment systems. The system discharges the water into surrounding soils through openings in the manhole. Stormwater drainage wells can be located under roads, sidewalks, parking lots, lawns, or other pervious and impervious areas. They can also be connected to other stormwater management tools.
